I love collecting and listening to vinyl. I wanted a better way to browse my collection, choose records, and queue them up for listening, so I built Spindll.
Browse your record collection (or someone else’s). Just enter a Discogs username.
Search, sort, and filter your collection to find just what you’re looking for.
Add a record to your “Up Next“ queue.
Randomly select a record from your collection. Filter by genre or artist before you ranomize.
I love collecting and listening to vinyl, and I love Discogs, but I wanted a better way to browse my collection, choose records, and queue them up for listening.
I built Spindll to scratch my own itch. It’s a progressive web app, meaning you can open it in your web browser but you can also install it to your computer, phone, or tablet—just like a native app.
Well... sort of. Discogs is great, but I found myself getting frustrated with having to re-login all the time. I also love the shake-to-show-a-random-album feature, but wanted a way to filter so that I could get, for instance, a random hip-hop record or random metal record.
Spindll is in no way a replacement for the Discogs app. It’s a lean app, hyper-focused on browsing and rediscovering your own collection ❤️.
I have a few features in mind that I’m considering. One that I’ve been kicking around is a sort of IRL party feature like a social juke box. The idea is that you’d set out a QR code for people to scan to view your collection and add their picks to your “Up Next” queue.
I also plan on adding more album details like track info and low-mid-high selling price.
If you have ideas, I’d love to hear them.
